SEASONOVA offers consulting services for governments, and not-for-profit organizations, as well as the business, education, and social services sectors.

Launched in 2019, SEASONOVA is a federally-incorporated social enterprise driven to contribute to positive social and systems change. Our team has a combined 60+ years of prior experience in the Canadian Public Service.

Our Approach

SEASONOVA’s approach is underpinned by a commitment and belief that good public policy is rooted in evidence and is both inclusive and participatory. This approach is solutions-based, relevant and accountable. It aims to support the development and implementation of people-centric policies, programs and services, and agile and equitable systems.

What’s New?

Join us to commemorate May as Asian Heritage Month through a virtual event which centres around stories of Asian innovation and perseverance through food. It is a grassroots event organized by a local network of organizations, including our team here at SEASONOVA.

The event is on Saturday, May 14, 2022 from 11:30 am to 2:30 pm ET and you can register HERE.

May 2022

The City of Ottawa has partnered with SEASONOVA to organize and facilitate engagement consultations to inform Phase 2 of the City’s Women and Gender Equity Strategy. These engagements will take place in May and June 2022. Registration to these sessions as well as the resident survey are found online at Engage Ottawa.

This past year, SEASONOVA supported and collaborated with the Equal Futures Network and The Canadian Partnership for Women and Children’s Health through three training offerings on Intersectional Monitoring & Evaluation (IME). We also organized and led a Gender-based Analysis Plus Audit of the Equal Futures Network with focus group sessions with EFN Members. We are happy to be featured on their annual report released on March 17, 2022, and found online HERE.

In partnership with the Equal Futures Network and The Canadian Partnership for Women and Children’s Health, SEASONOVA has developed a participatory workshop on Intersectional Monitoring and Evaluation.

The next virtual sessions will be held on:

  • November 1 and 3, 2021 from 11:30 am to 2:30 pm EDT (REGISTER HERE)
  • November 22, 24 and 25, 2021 from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm EDT (REGISTER HERE)

This FREE learning opportunity is a great way for individuals looking to learn practical ways to integrate intersectionality and GBA Plus into a program or project’s evaluation framework and gain further understanding of intersectional feminist approaches to evaluation.

SEASONOVA has been supporting a collaborative online discussion on how to address anti-Asian racism in Canada. The last session is on July 3, 2021 from 1:30 to 2:30 pm (EDT). Register on Eventbrite here. All welcome. Free admission.
